The Old Waal
Overnight stay in a natural environment with all the comforts and facilities to relax. At a small 2500 meters from the start/finish location of the 4 Days Marches of Nijmegen you can spend the night with us at the Ooijse Bandijk 4 in Ooij.
At this spacious campsite we offer 3 types of accommodation: a Belltent for 2 to 4 people, a 2-person Pod or a Bed-stay in a large sleeping tent.
In addition, it is possible to book a camping spot. There are two types of camping spots with fixed dimensions. Check in advance whether your caravan, camper, trailer tent or tent (including guy ropes) fits within the dimensions. If this is not the case, reserve an extra spot. It is not necessary to provide the type of camping equipment.
You book any accommodation for the period from July 12 to 19, 2025. You can book breakfast and lunch in advance, so you are well prepared right away.
Parking during the 4 Days Marches of Nijmegen can be a problem. Therefore, reserve your parking ticket with us in advance, so you are assured of a place.
Is a guest staying at your camping spot? That is no problem. Book a single night at €19,- per person. The guest will stay at your already booked spot or in your accommodation.

Your participation in the Nijmegen 4-Day Marches should be the time of your life! Enjoy walking and having a great time, no worries. Your stay should therefore be as comfortable and carefree as possible. Are you staying at our campsite? Then book your parking ticket now for €65 and a breakfast and lunch package for €24 per day (you will then use a package for 4 days).

A regular camping spot has a standard size of 8.5 meters by 5 meters. Whether you bring a caravan, camper, trailer tent or one or more tents, everything is possible as long as it stays within the boundaries of your reserved spot(s). You can easily determine how many spots you need.

Good to know about the camping pitches
General information about camping pitches
Fixed rates apply for the entire period of your stay at the campsite, regardless of the arrival or departure date.
With each booking one or more pitch numbers are assigned. These pitch numbers are only announced upon arrival.
Do you want to be sure of places next to each other? Then make sure you reserve all places in one joint booking. Only then can we guarantee a place together.
Important: individual reservations cannot be placed next to each other in advance on request. Therefore, agree well on who makes the group booking, so that we receive it as one reservation. Different types of camping pitches cannot be combined.
Camping pitches and parking
There are two types of camping pitches with fixed dimensions. Check in advance whether your caravan, camper, trailer tent or tent (including guy ropes) fits within the dimensions. If this is not the case, reserve an extra spot. It is not necessary to report the type of camping equipment.
Parking is possible on the camping parking lot with a weekly parking card. It is not allowed to park a car on the camping spot itself. Are you being picked up or is someone visiting? Then a weekly parking card is not necessary, and you can park nearby.
Have you already booked a camping spot, but no parking ticket yet? You can still add this later via the ticket shop.
Additional guests and overnight guests
Is someone staying for one night? Book a single night at €19,- per person. The guest will stay at your already booked place or in your accommodation.
Are you expecting an extra person for a whole week? Then reserve your camping spot for the right number of people.
Small Campsite
with electricity
The small camping pitch has a standard size of 2.8 meters by 5 meters. You can choose whether you come with one tent or multiple tents, as long as they fit within the dimensions of the reserved pitch(es). It is easy to decide for yourself whether you need one pitch or would rather reserve two.
